Hey guys!

I know I haven't posted in a LONG TIME. So I'd do a quick post to say thank God for what He has done.

You know that Anna moved this summer. Well, she's coming over for a third sleepover at my house since she moved. I just want to thank for being so good and keeping Anna and I together, even though we're apart. It's so great to have her here.

Also, I want to thank Anna and her dad for driving more than two hours away from their house to make it to my birthday. I am so glad she came to my birthday party and it wouldn't have been possible without her family.

In Christ,
Sarah

Moving

Hi everybody!!

Sorry that I haven't posted on here for a while. When you meet somebody new, they don't just become your best friend right away. At some point you might ask, "Do you want to become best friends?" They might say yes, but that's usually not the way it works. You get to know the person and maybe in a year or two you realize that you've become best friends. Sarah and I have been "bonding" for awhile and I have found that she's really nice and that she has an extraordinary gift of writing. The problem now is that I will soon be moving about two hours away from where I currently live. It's going to be hard, but we are going to keep seeing each other. It won't be as often, though. We can talk on the phone, email each other, text, send letters, and we can do face time. It's going to be difficult, but we are going to still see each other once in a while and we will still be in regular contact. It's not like I'm moving to another country! I think that it IS still possible to stay best friends even when you're miles apart.

This is a song about growing up. It reminds me how my friend who going to move soon.

Remember, Jesus is the ONLY friend that will never leave you. He will ALWAYS come through for you. Even when you feel like your friends don't care about you, even when they don't come through for you, even if they really hurt your feeling, He is still there. Sometimes.... when that happens.... He's trying to prove to you that HE is the best friend you could ever have and HE deserves your desires, time, and love. Remember, when it feels like no one's there, God will be there. Talk to Him. He will listen.

Just some thoughts I'd thought I'd share with you....
HE WILL BE WITH YOU WHEVER YOU GO!
In Christ,
Sarah

Upward Game

Today was my second Upward basketball game. (Anna's third) It was the hardest game so far. I was guarding a girl that was a little taller than me. It was the same girl Anna mentioned on her blog. Thankfully, it didn't feel like a wrestling match to me. She was really nice, and we talked a lot. Even though we lost, we still put up a good fight. On the last quarter, we down almost 20 points, but at the end of the game we were only down 4! Anna has a dream that she scored 4 times, and in the game, not only did she score for the first time, but she scored 3 times! I was SO proud of her.

The funny thing was at the end of every quarter, I would think: There is no way I am going to go back in. But I ended up playing the whole game! Even though my stomach hurt really bad and I pulled a muscle a once I kept going. My little sister, Ellie, (She's on our team), had a really had a good game too, even though she feel and got four rug burns. Ouch. I think it was a great game for all of us and I thank God for this opportunity. He is showing me how to endure, how to have good sportsmanship, and how to be me a team player. BTW, I get to see my best friend twice a week!

Managing Anger

Hey, guys! It's been a LONG while since I've posted so I thought I'd post before I left for my grandpa's funeral. Anna and I had basketball practice tonight and we had our first game Saturday. It was fun. I must say, Anna was very good for her first time! It was seriously tiring, but super fun! In case you don't know, Anna and I do Upward together, a Christian organized basketball program. Our verse today was very good. I can't remember all of it, but this is what I can remember: "Be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry." This is something you have to apply daily in your friendship or any relationship. We also brought up the old saying: Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me. This is not true. In fact, broken bones heal better than a troubling memory. When you break your leg, for instance, it'll heal in maybe a month at the most, but words are damaging and hurtful. Once they're there, you can't take them back. They're in and you can't get them out. It's a lasting, terrible memory that can permanently damage your relationship with your friend or family member.

So, remember, whenever you're about to drill your friend about something (even if they totally deserve it), stop, and think: What would Jesus do? It's better to keep your mouth shut than say something you'll regret.
In Christ,
Sarah
